Just sat down for a great cup o’ joe with my previous youth minister.
Always good to catch up with people, and I find as I get older, more and more people want to do coffee and lunch. It’s weird!
I just wanted to talk a little bit about the importance of staying connected!
As we get older and older it tends to be that people drift aprt. What with college, moving, and the constant churning of your group of friends it’s almost impossible for this not to happen. And it’s a shame that it does, we meet so many people in our lives, and sometimes we miss out on amazing people because circumstances push us away.
But I challenge you to defy that! Get out and grab a cup of coffee, or some lunch. It can make a huge difference, and keep a stagnant friendship alive and well! In this day and age of technology you have no excuse to not make contact even with the most distant friends! My entire family short of my parents live in England, but I manage to keep in constant contact! So you can too!
Together we make up the community of Christ, but to stay a community we MUST stay together! Friendships are key to that sense of family in our lives, don’t let them slip away!
